Why Give to Wellesley?
 |
"I give to Wellesley because being there for four years changed my life. I
had opportunities that made me believe in myself and my ability to make a
difference, even in a small way, to the world around me. I was encouraged to
be proud of my intelligence rather than hide it, and I met other women who
were just as excited as I was about who they could be and what they could do
with their lives. I volunteer and I donate to Wellesley in order to make
sure future generations of young women have the same privilege I did."

"I give to Wellesley because I spent four terrific years there, and I want
to make sure that other young women have the same opportunities for fun and
academic challenge as I did -- but also because Wellesley is the gift that
keeps on giving. In the 25 years since we graduated, I have met so many
alums from so many different classes - there is an instant bond, an instant
respect, an instant how "can we help each other." The Wellesley alumnae
network never leaves you. None of my non-Wellesley friends talk about their
college in this way. Wellesley is just a special place."

"I give to Wellesley because Wellesley has given me so much:
education, exploration, inspiration, confidence, friendships, connections,
opportunities, community. And I want to help ensure that others -
students, alumnae, the Wellesley community and the world - will continue to
benefit from the richness Wellesley has to offer."

"I give to Wellesley to payback the College's generosity to me. Simply
put, my family could not afford to send me to Wellesley without the package
of scholarship, loans, and work study I was offered. I remember hoping
that I would get in, and thinking that if I were to be accepted, there must
be a way to pay for it. Wellesley offered a package that made it
feasible for me to attend and graduate. I donate to Wellesley so
that deserving students of modest means can say "yes" to Wellesley."
